When to use
Use this template when tagging articles written like a research paper (also known as an essay in some countries) or a scientific journal. Even though we appreciate detailed information, the articles may need to be edited to use less technical terms.
When not to use
Don't use this template to tag articles that share the personal opinions of the writers. Instead, use {{Essay-like}}. If the article is biased, but not revealing the author's emotions, use {{POV}}.
How to use
Place this:
{{Research paper{{#ifeq:date=mai 2024|date=mai 2024| |date=mai 2024 }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{3}}} }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{4}}} }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{5}}} }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{6}}} }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{7}}} }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{8}}} }}{{#ifeq:x|| |{{{9}}} }}}}
to indicate that the article is written like a paper or essay.
- Sections
- For sections, place
{{{{#if: |subst:}}Research paper{{#if:section ||section}}{{#if: ||{{{3}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{4}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{5}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{6}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{7}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{8}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{9}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{10}}}}}{{#if: ||{{{11}}}}}{{#if: ||…}}}}
to mark a single section only.
Notes
- This template will add tagged articles to Category:Wikipedia articles needing style editing.
- This template is a self-reference.
